Valentino Garavani Virtual Museum

Image: topnews.ca
Valentino Garavani recently announced the launch of the Valentino Garavani Virtual Museum! It will be available for download as a desktop application Monday, December 5.

The virtual museum will cover 50 years of his fashion career, and will showcase more than 300 dresses, and 95 different runway show videos. It will also show thousands of images including illustrations, sketches, ad campaigns, editorials, and memorable moments (Julia Roberts in her black and white Valentino when she won her Oscar!).

Apparently, the virtual museum is set up to feel like you are actually walking down halls, and into rooms of a real museum. If the museum were real, it would cover over 100,000 square feet of space.

"I see it as part of my legacy. I am happy that thousands of students, young designers, and fashion people will be able to see and study my work in every aspect of it, and in a manner easy and accessible for the younger generations. But it is also important to remember things of the past, to review the fashion that has shaped our lives. I would call it 'Future Memory'." -Valentino Garavani

I can't wait to download Valentino's virtual museum! Check out the trailer below:
