People's Choice 2012

People's Choice Awards 2012 took place Wednesday night in California, and as expected, the red carpet did not disappoint! Here is a small collection of my favourite looks from the red carpet:

Miley Cyrus and boyfriend Liam Hemsworth looked great on the red carpet! Miley wore a unique off white coloured dress from the David Koma Spring 2012 line, featuring a mesh plunging neckline and mesh cut out on the sides. Although strange, I like the rainbow detailing on the sides as well, it adds a bit of a colour pop, and makes the dress young and fun. For a safer look, anyone else might have paired the dress with neutral heels, but Miley took a chance and paired it with some hot pink snake skin pattern pumps. A dapper looking Liam was Miley's best accessory.

Madeline Carroll, best known for her part in 2010's Flipped and 2011's Mr. Popper's Penguins, wore this beautiful and unique dress with feathered skirt from Jovani. The dress was cute and very age appropriate for the actress, who will turn 15 in March. I thought her side swept hair and cute gold pumps were great finishing touches.

Lea Michele picked up the award for Favourite TV Comedy Actress for her role in the popular TV series Glee. She picked up her trophy wearing this on trend fringe dress from Marchesa's Spring 2012 collection. I think this is a hard look to pull off, and have to give Lea props for rocking it.

Castle's Stana Katic looked gorgeous in a black floor length gown by Valentino with plunging neckline. I love that she kept her makeup and accessories simple, wearing diamond drop earrings and an oversized cocktail ring.

Actress (one of my personal favourites!) Emma Stone took home the big award for Favourite Movie Actress. She wore a fairly questionable ensemble of a green tuxedo style jacket with pants and white collar shirt. This is a tricky one to pull off, and it's not my favourite look, but I think Emma showed huge confidence and looked like she was having so much fun on the red carpet that I just can't criticize it.

PS: Watch Emma's acceptance speech for her award below. She is just such a sweetheart!

  1. Loved Emma Stone's speech, but Adam Lavine from Naroon 5 was such a jerk he's so self absorbed
